Mosaic Nius February/March
Dear Family and Friends,
First of all, I would like to apologise for missing the February edition of Mosaic Nius. Much has happened in the last two months - the Good News of Jesus death and resurrection and the gift of life has been shared with the Madak people, and a number of them have shared clear testimony of their trust in Jesus. Also there are a number of other chronological teachings that are under way with various people group, some been led by the national believers.
February also saw Moses succumbing to some sickness that included fever, vomiting and my first ever experience of fainting. Come to think of it - it was rather funny - I just came back from the bathroom and going back to bed and felt a little light headed, the next thing I know was I heard a loud thump, and then I thought to myself - the bed and pillow seem so hard I must be dreaming. Then I slowly open my eyes to take a peek at where I was in the dream. And behold, I saw that I've just made it through the doorway, lying on the floor with my head inside the laundry basket. Thankfully I felt a lot better after a few days of resting. Praise God for his healing hands and the provision of medical staff to aid the healing process.
In March, we had our Lapilo Conference and we had Oli Jacobson come to share with us on the Armour of God. It was a nice refreshing weekend for us, and we were reminded that we are in a spiritual battle, just because we are not in a tribal location doesn't mean we are immune from attacks by the evil one. The same would apply you back home who are supporting us in this work, so we need to stand firm and be ready and on guard to resist any attacks. Thanks for all your prayer and encouragement! It's greatly appreciated!
There were also other activities during the weekend including a waterslide, softball, tennis, some card/board games and The Amazing Race, which turned out to be another nice mud bath for all involved.
Computer wise, we had a number of hiccups in the past week including a power failure in the server room causing havoc to the local network, and this morning, we had a hard drive failure of one of the data servers which has the potential of loosing much of the historical financial data. We were not able to find the backups for this server, so we have to try and reconstruct the drive from the raw data. Please pray for wisdom as we go through this.
Recently I've been reminded of the song "When You Pray" - it's great to know that we have a God who loves and cares for us and that we can bring our needs to him.
At the close of the day, when you kneel to pray
Will you remember me?
I need help every day, this is why I pray
Will you remember me?
When you pray, will you pray for me
For I need His love and His care
When you pray, will you pray for me
Will you whisper my name in your prayer

Finally, I've decided to stay here in PNG for another year. It's been a difficult decision to make, and would just like to thank you all for your prayer in seeking God's will in this. My parents are planning to come visit in mid-July, and then I'll be returning to Sydney with them for a number of weeks. I'll let you know the dates when they are finalised. Looking forward to seeing and catching up with you who are in Sydney. Thanks again for your love and support - please feel free to email me and let me know what I can be praying for you as well.
