Above All

Last sunday, one of the songs we sang at church was Above All. As the song leaders and congregation sang the song, I couldn't help but be blown away by how much God has done for me. The one who is above all things, who created all things, who sets all things in motion, was willing to lay down his life for someone like me... I keep wondering why - why would God do that? Why would God love someone like me?

It is beyond reasoning, it is not who we are or what we have done. This all happened because of who He is, and what He has done. Paul tells us that "God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Rom 5:8

And what's even more amazing is that He is willing to use us and allow us to be part of His plan! "I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, to give you a future and a hope." Jer 29:11
